In March 2025, the Ministry of Public Works described integrated upstream-to-downstream flood coordination for Greater Jakarta. The policy emphasis supports examining institutional responsibilities as well as engineering measures; conditions in other catchments need separate investigation.

Industrial-estate operators and facility owners need to protect access, critical equipment and production. A proposal should establish the design event, deployment time, power supply and the consequences of moving water elsewhere.
The people using the solution
Residents and workers need usable warnings and safe routes. An intervention should examine downstream effects and access for people who cannot deploy a barrier or evacuate without help.
